Welcome!
I'm glad you've found me and that you're considering counseling.
Our journeys are at times difficult- we may lack direction, feel unsure of ourselves, or get overwhelmed. You are not alone. Fortunately, more and more people have been tapping into the helpful, healing practice of therapy and investing in their mental health.
Therapy provides a safe, supportive place to sort through the issues, behaviors, feelings and hangups that we all carry, and helps us navigate them, build on our strengths, and move forward.
Do something good for yourself. Take the first step, and reach out!
"Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all"
- Emily Dickinson
I have worked with clients of all ages for over thirty years, and believe that being non-judgemental, caring and compassionate are qualities that can guide others through the most challenging of times. While there are several treatment approaches that I offer, I take care in working with you to create the most appropriate therapeutic plan.
You may not know where to begin or are having difficulty finding a way to express what is beyond words. Perhaps talk therapy has not worked or has brought you to an impasse where you may be feeling anxious and stuck. At times like these, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR and /or Sandtray Therapy may offer a way to guide you through these difficult times.
I invite you to contact me to discuss your individual needs at 828-355-4656, by phone or text.

My Approach
Our lives are ordered by the complexity of our individual experiences. The foundation of my practice is rooted in the belief that every person is worthy of respect, understanding and trust. I believe that, given the opportunity and the tools, healing is possible. Although I use different modes of therapy they all contain these basic tenets.
